Jose Mendez
VICE PRESIDENT, INVESTMENT ANALYSIS
As Vice President, Investment Analysis for PowerTransitions® Jose is primarily responsible for building and maintaining complex financial models, conducting market research and performing due diligence on potential acquisitions of brownfield sites.
Jose brings almost a decade of experience in power and renewable energy finance to the PowerTransitions® team. Previously, he worked as an Investment Banking Associate at Bank of America on the Natural Resources and Energy Transition team in New York focused on renewables M&A and capital raising for early-stage development platforms.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Jose was a lead credit analyst at Moody’s Investor Service, with a $10 billion portfolio concentrated in municipal infrastructure and power project finance. He has published extensive credit research on thermal and renewable power plants in major U.S. markets including PJM, ERCOT, ISO-NE, NY-ISO and CAISO.
Jose holds an MBA in Cleantech and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and received his BA in Applied Mathematics-Economics from Brown University.
