Paras Shah serves as Head of Investments & Markets at PowerTransitions, where he helps lead financial and market analysis, valuation, and the structuring and execution of investments across thermal power, data center powered land, and battery storage.

He brings more than 16 years of experience in private equity, M&A, and developing asset-backed trading strategies.

Before PowerTransitions, Paras was a Vice President at Denham Capital, where he managed investments in thermal and renewable power platforms across global markets. Earlier, he served as Vice President at EDF Trading, leading project development, M&A, and commercial structuring across LNG, LPG, coal, oil & gas, retail energy, and environmental products, working closely with trading desks to design optimization frameworks around physical assets. He began his career in Deloitte’s Business Valuation practice.

Paras holds a BBA in Business Honors and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a CFA Charterholder and Certified Public Accountant.
