Nick Gingrich
VICE PRESIDENT, INVESTMENTS & COMMERCIAL
Nick is a Vice President of Investments & Commercial with over 15 years’ experience in the energy industry. His experience includes corporate accounting, project development, acquisition work, and energy management in the power and hydrogen sectors. In this role, Nick leads the financial modelling workstream for the organization.
Prior to joining Power Transitions, Nick was a Director, Commercial Finance for Mitsubishi Power Americas where he led the financial modelling work on a first of its kind green hydrogen production and storage project in Delta, Utah. This project secured Department of Energy Loan Program Office funding and achieved financial close in 2022.
Prior to joining Mitsubishi, Nick was a Controller for Robindale Energy where he had accounting oversight of two waste coal fired power plants in western Pennsylvania. While in this role, he also led the financial modelling work to acquire a 100MW+ waste coal fired powerplant.
Prior to joining Robindale Energy, Nick was a Principal for Arcova Development where he worked with colleagues to develop a 1,200 MW CCGT facility in central Pennsylvania. Nick also led the financial modelling work to acquire two waste coal fired powerplants in western Pennsylvania totaling ~600 MWs.
Prior to joining Arcova, Nick worked for Sunbury Generation, a 400 MW coal fired powerplant in central Pennsylvania as part of the accounting staff. In addition to accounting oversight, Nick worked on the development of Hummel Station, a 1,100 MW CCGT facility that achieved financial close in 2015 and commercial operations in 2018.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Susquehanna University as well as a CPA in the state of Pennsylvania.
