Joe Cushing is Senior Analyst, Investments & Commercial at PowerTransitions, where he provides financial modeling and analytical support for mergers and acquisitions and energy transition infrastructure projects.

He brings over a decade of experience in advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, capital optimization, and strategic investment support across energy and real estate sectors. Joe specializes in financial modeling, VBA automation, and multi-scenario analysis to optimize capital deployment for power generation and renewable energy integration.

Prior to joining PowerTransitions, Joe held a role at Mitsubishi Power Americas, where he developed financial models for green hydrogen production optimization, evaluated capital and operating inputs, and supported capital raise initiatives and contract bids. He also previously worked in real estate investment, performing acquisitions analysis, budgeting, and valuation modeling for diverse property portfolios.

Joe holds a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, magna cum laude, from Northern Michigan University. He previously served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Journeyman.
