SENIOR COUNSEL, PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Jennifer Figueroa is Senior Counsel, Project Development for PowerTransitions, and is responsible for providing legal support for the Company’s development, financing, and execution of energy transition and infrastructure projects.

Jennifer has substantial experience in project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and complex commercial contracting for large‑scale energy and infrastructure projects, including wind, solar, LNG, hydrogen, and other low‑carbon technologies. She has advised on project financings, joint ventures, power purchase agreements, and development, construction, and operations matters across the United States and Latin America.

Before joining PowerTransitions Jennifer held senior in‑house roles at leading energy companies, Sempra Infrastructure and Invenergy, where she supported the development, financing, and operation of large‑scale energy projects in the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America. She previously worked in the project finance and infrastructure groups at Milbank, Freshfields, and Galicia Abogados, where she advised sponsors, lenders, and investors on cross‑border energy and infrastructure deals. 

Jennifer received her J.D., magna cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is admitted to practice in New York and is pending admission to the Texas Bar.
